For many experimental filmmakers, the observation of the world around us is key for their art. We have selected some documentary films from the Xcèntric archive on the occasion of Docs Barcelona festival, that will take place in the CCCB from May 15th to 25th. These all are documentary films, but they vary in their techniques or approaches (video diary, observational camera, portrait, video essay, interview, found-footage…), with references ranging from the Lumiere brothers to the pop culture, and they offer a broad view of the archive’s content.
