Stephen Dwoskin has made an autobiographical film in the most complete sense of the word although it does not constitute the chronological history of a life. The visual and thematic associations move forward and backward in time. Along with his evolution as a filmmaker (and painter), his private life also plays an important role. Dwoskin deals with his relationships with women and his paralysis caused by polio.
