Lights is a happy and beautiful film for its purity and abstraction. A dizzying sequence of lights and colours floats on the black background of the night and offers an almost intoxicating visual journey. It is an abstract experience, a celebration of light and colour in which each frame is full of frenetic scribbles, as if Menken were drawing with the light through the movement of her camera.
