Andy Warhol
Both Warhol's portrait of the Velvet Underground and Nico - shot with a shaky camera- during a concert in New York that was interrupted by the police and Whitehead's vibrant film on Pink Floyd and his first concert in London show how filmmakers and musicians in the 60s collaborated in their search for the new forms that were to transform society and the arts: "People have always told me I'm a mirror, and if a mirror looks at itself in another mirror, what do you see?" (Warhol).

The Velvet Underground and Nico, Andy Warhol. USA, 1966. 67', 16 mm.
Pink Floyd London, Peter Whitehead. UK, 1966-67. 30', video.
