"Drawing with sunlight and camera movement. Dots and lines on the sea. Movement as landscape. Vision as dance.
This short piece, filmed from some rocks by the Mediterranean, links up with my photographic series (especially Generaciones, 2001) which are also based on the possibility of creating temporary signs and forms, which appear abstract but possess textures and tones taken directly from the visible reality. Sunny Swing is a slight variation along these lines, also explored in an earlier work shot on film and edited on video, namely Signaturas (síntesis). The images flow in two different ways: the flow of moving water and that of our gaze as it flits, escapes, flies and dances, transfiguring our vision and perhaps our experience and understanding of reality".
