Duque's first video work within the field of fiction. The short film outlines two unconnected stories that gravitate, in a way that’s more playful than reflective, around the world of literature: from Herman Melville’s Bartleby to the dystopian society of Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury, through the echoes of Vila-Matas or the direct reference to Stanislav Lem. The multiple literary references work as a pretext to evoke a state (alienation), an effect (longing) and a generic ascription (science fiction), areas through which the piece transits and which delineate its possible meanings.
