Based on the Jorge Luis Borges story of the same name, the (incomplete) film, by means of a whirlwind of elusive images, relates the story’s protagonist’s long journey in search of the secret City of the Immortals. The are animation sequences filmed in very precarious conditions in a rustic little house on the island of Giglio, in Italy, where the entire movie was made.
