Books for All. Presentation of the publication "Illuminated Hours. Nathaniel Dorsky and Jerome Hiler"

This session forms part of a ten-programme cycle entitled Illuminated Hours. The devotional cinema of Nathaniel Dorsky and Jerome Hiler, organised in collaboration with the Filmoteca de Catalunya and Zumzeig Cinema, including a large part of their respective filmographies. The screenings are accompanied by an installation by Nathaniel Dorsky and the publication of a book on the early days of cinema and shared life of these two filmmakers.

In this session, Carlos Saldaña and Francisco Algarín Navarro, editors of Lumière, will present two books published especially for this cycle: the latest edition of Nathaniel Dorsky's Devotional Cinema and a new volume that contains texts, interviews and documents focusing on the early days of Nathaniel Dorsky and Jerome Hiler's work. The session will conclude with the screening of Library, a moving institutional commission in which the filmmakers portray the New Jersey public library system with great affection.
