Andrés Hispano

Producer for Nits Temàtiques BTV (1997-2002). Director and producer of Boing Boing Buddha on BTV (created together with Manuel Huerga), 2000-2003; Baixa fidelitat (together with Fèlix Pérez-Hita), XTVL, 2005, and Soy Cámara (together with Ingrid Guardiola and Fèlix Pérez-Hita), TVE/CCCB, 2010-2020.

He has curated the exhibitions “The Film-maker’s City” (with Jordi Balló, CCCB, 2001), “El rei de la casa” (with Marc Roig, Palau de la Virreina, 2005), “That’s not Entertainment!” (with Antoni Pinent, CCCB, 2007) and “The Global Screen” (with Gilles Lipovetsky and Jean Serroy, CCCB, 2011).

He is Member of the Advisory Board for Panoràmic (Granollers festival of photography and film), for which he curated the exhibitions “Sense Intimitat” (Museu de Granollers, 2020), “Erwin Wurm: One Minute Forever” (Roca Umbert, Granollers, 2021) or “Reacció en cadena” (Santa Mònica, Barcelona 2021), among others.

He is author of David Lynch. Claroscuro americano (Glénat, 1997), BCN Frame (with Manuel Huerga, Actar, 2005), Falsos documentales y otras piruetas de la no-ficción (ed. and text, Glénat, 2001) and Imágenes, un dominio público (together with the Soy Cámara team, CCCB, 2020), among other titles.

He has directed the documentary Fragmentos (TVE/CCCB, 2010) on the history of experimental filmmaking in Spain, produced at the same time as the book-DVD on the same subject, From Ecstasy to Rapture (Cameo/CCCB).

He has worked on numerous films in artistic preproduction tasks, storyboards and visual consulting, from Antarctica (Manuel Huerga, 1995) to The Barcelona Vampiress (Lluís Danés, 2020).

He wrote about visual culture in the Cultura/s supplement of the La Vanguardia newspaper (for which he was a consultant) from 2002 - 2014.

He is lecturer at LCI, School of Design and guest lecturer at Elisava for various master’s and postgraduate programs, Art Direction and Master in Digital Design, among others.
