As part of the activities parallel to the “Making Africa” exhibition, Xcèntric brought American-born Ghanaian filmmaker Akosua Adoma Owusu to Barcelona. In 2013, her short film Kwaku Ananse was highly acclaimed at the Berlin International Film Festival.
