Elise Florenty and Marcel Türkowsky: Recent Works

French artist and filmmaker Elise Florenty constructs complex, fragmented narrations in which she submerges literary references such as Faulkner, Müller and Pasolini in highly topical subjects and brings them up to date, forcing cracks in an often soulless age. Florenty works with appearance/disappearance and the sliding between words, figures and landscapes, imaginary and real, using an unmistakeable visual style that manages to create an organic world in perpetual flux. For some years, she has worked with the multifaceted German creator Marcel Türkowsky, with whom she made her latest film, of which this is the première in Spain. [Video screening.]
