Vicente Monroy is a writer and film programmer. He works at Cineteca Madrid and collaborates with the Spanish Film Academy. He has published the essays Breve historia de la oscuridad [A Brief History of Darkness] (Anagrama, 2025) and Contra la cinefilia [Against Cinephilia] (Clave Intelectual, 2020), the novel Los Alpes marítimos [The Maritime Alps] (Lengua de Trapo, 2021), and several poetry collections.
