Garbiñe Ortega

Vitoria-Gasteiz, 1981. Her curatorial work has been shown internationally at institutions such as the Film Society of the Lincoln Center (NY), Tate Modern, Film Museum in Vienna, Pacific Film Archive, National Gallery of Art in Washington or Centre for Contemporary Culture in Barcelona. She was co-director of programming for the Ambulante Documentary Tour (México), artistic director of the Punto de Vista festival (2018-2021) and curator of Artium’s Sala Z (2021-2022). She has produced films for Nicolas Pereda, Lois Patino and Matías Pineiro. She has edited several books including Jonathan Schwartz: To Light, To Love, To Time (2019), Meditations on the present: Ute Aurand, Helga Fanderl, Jeannette Musoz, Renate Sami (2020) or Letters as films (2022). Currently, she is a professor of film curatorship at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola school (San Sebastian), programmer at the Bienal Internacional de los Encuentros in Pamplona and artistic director of the Dirdira project.
