She studied philosophy at the University of Barcelona and filmmaking at the CIEVYC in Buenos Aires. Florència Aliberti works in the audiovisual sector as an editor and producer of documentary and experimental films. She is a collector of old celluloids, videos (physical and virtual), photographs, projectors, cameras, magazines, etc. She uses them to elaborate her videographic pieces. Her proposals explore, through the assembly and recovery of various materials and from practices of appropriation and recycling, intervention and manipulation of the film medium and laboratory craft practices, the possibilities of re-signification of images, providing them with new contexts of reading and interpretation. Her work has been screened at several festivals and exhibitions such as BFI London Film Festival, VIS Vienna Independent Shorts, Centre d'Art Santa Mònica, Museo de Arte Moderno de Buenos Aires, Alternativa or Xcèntric Cinema of the Center of Contemporary Culture of Barcelona, among others. She has recently finished the fiction short film Can Gardell (co-directed with Sílvia Subirós, 2021), winner of the award for best national short film at the Manlleu Film Festival.
