In “Metamorphosis”, a butterfly delicately emerges from a cocoon. Around it, the urban metamorphosis builds up an incredible but impassable shell of reinforced concrete. The time-lapse urban sequences contrast with the butterfly’s movement, inflating its wings to take flight. “Metamorphosis” is a reflection on the disorderly growth of cities. It took two months of observation and filming to capture the moment on Super-8.
