Le Révélateur

"Le Révélateur is a deliberately oneiric film that revolves around what psychoanalysis calls the primitive scene: how a film is born, how a child is made, the first time a child sees his or her parents making love. One hour, in black and white, made with derisory means, showing shots of a small child with his parents (Bernadette Lafont and Laurent Terzieff). The three move in a space delimited by representations of the dream (a staircase, a route, a forest...) and how I should content myself with the light of a flashlight, the contrasting black and white that divides the screen contributes to produce an impression of unreality."
