Miranda Pennell/John Smith

Invisible Cinema

The complicity of the M. Pennell and John Smith partnership establishes a fluid dialogue full of irony and humour that is reflected in their work. With great technique in narration, composition, colours, choreography, sense of rhythm and a prodigious assembly, they break down the frontiers between video-creation, video-dance and experimental audio-visual.

The set of works developed here have the common nexus of the lack of dialogues -although a large part of Smith's filmography is based on word-, and the rhythm, albeit choreographic or of assembly is flooded with virtuosity and humour.
