After several years collaborating on joint projects, the filmmakers Michel Nedjar, Gaël Badaud, Teo Hernández and Jakobois spontaneously formed the experimental film group MétroBarbèsRochechou Art as a reflection of life in a community. Some of their films, and specifically 4 à 4 Métro-Barbès-Rochechou Art, are inspired by the atmosphere of the lively Barbès district of Paris, where they lived. Their films link cinema to everyday life and transforme it as an immediate, impulsive expression of desire.
