Rainbow Dance

Under a rain of colours, the silhouette of the dancer Rupert Doone waits under an umbrella. When the rainbow comes out on a background of colourful circles, the silhouette changes colours and patterns while playing the ukulele. He goes on expedition through the mountains and along the beach – where minimal geometric shapes create fish and boats that at the same time overlap with real water shots – he plays tennis on a road, sometimes creating a stroboscopic sensation (freezing the various moments of a movement), until he falls asleep. An inventory of material desires (camera, houses, bottles, vinyls) precedes the appearance of the company paying for this ad: the Post Office Saving Bank Book of Brighton.
