Cábala Caníbal, by Daniel Villamediana

The CCCB's cinema

Cábala Caníbal is a film that applies the Judeo-Spanish Kabbalah to the cinema, creating a new way of working with historic and personal memory.

The true history of Spain is a history concealed underground. The expulsion of the Jews also meant the disappearance of their culture and wisdom. The same has happened to some of the Spanish heterodox alchemists, poets and mystics who were influenced by all of that Spanish Jewish culture and have been repeatedly ignored.

Cábala Caníbal, Daniel Villamediana, 2014, video, 63 min.

With the presence of the filmmaker, producer Luis Miñarro and other members of the team.
