This second encounter on film archives relates the “avant-garde cinema” - the one that best included the different historical dissidences - to the permanent redefinition of queer thought. Requisitioned by customs or destroyed in laboratories, the archival recovery of these intimate and subversive films, often subjected to clandestinity, entails both a singular preservation of personal and collective memory and the constant responsibility to rewrite the history of cinema.
