Federico Rossin is a film critic, historian, professor and programmer. He studied literature, art history and philosophy.
He is a specialist in the field of experimental, documentary and animation cinema. He has edited several books such as Cinema e storia. Immagine d’archivio e uso politico nel cinema documentario o Diario di un maestro = Journal d'un maître d'école, Vittorio De Seta : le film, un livre and regularly writes essays for books, newspapers and film magazines.
As an independent film curator, he has worked in many european film festivals such as Cinéma du Réel in París, États généraux du film documentaire de Lussas, DocLisboa, Milan Filmmaker Festival and in cinematheques such as Vienna's Film Museum de Viena, Cinémathèque Française or Cineteca Italiana.
Currently he is living in Paris and is a member of Light Cone’s committee.
