Born in Salzburg in 1970, Barbara Musil took a master class in 1998 in Experimental Design at the Linz University of Art and Design.
Based in Linz and Vienna, she is mainly working in the fields of Video and Media-art, often developing her concepts referring to her current context.
Her work was awarded several national and international scholarships and prices in the last years (e.g. 2003 Residency in Cluj, Romania; 2005 Residency in Vilnius, Lithuania; 2006 Residency in Tallinn, Estonia (Pépinières européennes grant).
