Johan had to make a new feature-length documentary entitled: For The Time Being, but he died before finishing it. What he left in the editing room were over nine minutes of film, edited in 2000 along with Menno Boerema, as the first part of the film that he would never finally make. These nine minutes consist of a sequence published with great dynamism in which Johan creates small portraits of friends and people he met during his travels.
